Children's Religious Exploration (RE)

The Children's RE has three age groups. These groups use a predetermined curriculum to guide their learning experiences. View the Children's RE brochure (.pdf).

Nursery

  • This is a program for infants up to 4 year olds.  We provide care for children during the service and Religious Education classes.

Alternative Activities

  • This is an alternative to staying in the service for pre-k to 3rd grades.  We will explore Unitarian Universalism Principles and celebrate holidays and rituals of different groups, countries and religions using the books:  Our UU Principles, Kids Around the World Celebrate! The Best Feast and Festivals from Many Lands, Special Times-Christian & Jewish Holidays and Holidays & Holy days, and Internet resources.

Children’s Chapel

  • The children will meet in the Grant Room for Chalice lighting, Joys and Concerns and a story.

Religious Education

  • There are 2 special sessions and 4 seven weeks curriculum sessions for the PreSchool through 6th grade groups.  For more information on each book and curriculum that we use, see our website, or contact the DRE.

Mystery Friends

  • UU Adults are matched up with a child.  The adults send hints to their child once a week for one month.  Concludes with a luncheon.
